This page explains what atli.co, the ATLI fan app and the band's admin app collect about you, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. It is run by ATLI (Selcuk Atli), “we” below. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

ATLI is an animated band. Selcuk, Cody and Max are characters; the songs are written and produced by Selcuk Atli, and some of the band's pictures, videos and words are made with AI tools.

The short version

The newsletter

When you sign up on atli.co we store your email address, where on the page you signed up and when. We use it to tell you about new music, shows and the band, and for nothing else. We keep it until you ask us to remove it: email hello@atli.co and we will.

Plays and likes

When a song plays on atli.co the site records which song, when, and how long it played. To count listeners by place, our server sends your IP address to ip-api.com with each play to look up an approximate location (country, region, city and that city's coordinates) and stores that location with the play. We don't store the IP address itself.

Likes are similar. So the site can remember which songs you liked, your browser keeps a random ID in its local storage, and that ID is stored with each like, sometimes with an approximate location looked up the same way. It isn't linked to your name, email or account.

We keep plays and likes for the band's listening stats. They aren't shown publicly except as totals.

The band's own apps play songs without recording plays.

Analytics

atli.co uses PostHogto understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks, which songs and videos are played, errors, and, where enabled, recordings of how the page was used (what was clicked and scrolled). PostHog keeps a random ID in your browser's local storage to tell visits apart. We don't give PostHog your name or email, though like any website it sees your IP address and may note your approximate location from it. Its data is held in the United States.

The site also uses Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies. If an ad or tracker blocker stops either of them, the site works just the same.

The fan app and the admin app have no analytics of their own, but the games in them are atli.co's game pages, so PostHog and Vercel Analytics run while you play one there.

Signing in

Sign-in is handled by Clerk, with Google or Apple. When you sign in we receive and store your name, email address and profile picture from that account, and when you last signed in, so we can tell who bought VIP and who asked which question. If you use Apple's “Hide My Email”, we only see the relay address Apple gives us.

On atli.co, sign-in is only for the band's admins, but Clerk's script runs on every page of the site and sets its own cookies to tell whether someone is signed in.

VIP in the fan app

VIP is a subscription bought through the App Store. Appletakes the payment and we never see your card or bank details. When you subscribe, the app sends us Apple's signed record of the purchase, and we keep on your account: the subscription's product (monthly or yearly), Apple's transaction ID for it, when your VIP runs until, when you first became a VIP, and your VIP number (№ 0412, say).

Apple also tells our server when a subscription renews, ends, is refunded or is revoked, and we update your VIP status from that. To cancel, use your Apple account's subscription settings.

AMAs

In an AMA a band member answers VIPs' questions for a limited time. The answers are written by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude, reached through OpenRouter) in that character's voice, from the band's own material. No person types them live.

When you ask, we store your question with your account, your VIP number, its answer and when it was answered. To write the answer we send the AI model your question and the AMA's recent questions and answers, never your name or email.

Answered questions are public:anyone can read them, in the fan app or elsewhere, shown as asked by your VIP number (“№ 0412 asked”), never your name, email or picture. If a question isn't answered (the member declines it, or it couldn't be answered), only you can see it and why. Please don't put anything personal in a question.

What stays on your device

Some things are kept only on your phone or in your browser, and never sent to us:

Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's site data, removes them.

Who else handles it

We use these services to run the site and the apps. Each only gets what it needs for its part:

These services are mostly in the United States, so your data may be handled there. We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep what's described above until you ask us to delete it. Email hello@atli.cofrom the address you signed up or signed in with, and say what you'd like removed: your newsletter address, your account (with its VIP record and AMA questions) or both. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you. We'll reply within 30 days.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that with Apple first. Plays and likes aren't tied to your name or email, so we can only find yours from your browser's random ID.

Children

atli.co and the ATLI apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child under 13 has given us their details, email hello@atli.coand we'll delete them.

Changes

When what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Questions about any of it: hello@atli.co.
